TRF Education Projects


From setting up basic school infrastructure over 20 years ago, TRF now focusses on learning outcomes among students of migrant worker families, whose education gets disrupted because of seasonal migration and loss of work. In Rajasthan’s Chaksu TRF supports non-formal schools in brick kilns, and in Gurgaon TRF supports an Assisted Reading Program in the government primary school in Mullahera village Brick Kiln Schools Children at the Brick Kiln School in Chaksu, Rajasthan In recent times there is a growing awareness about the hazards of children working and not going to school.

Natural Resource Management


Natural Resource Management Well Recharge Project Well Recharge Project TRF in partnership with Kumarappa Institute of Gram Swaraj has supported the building of rainwater harvesting structures in the fields of 8 farmers in the extremely arid region of Tonk district in the state of Rajasthan. Built just before the monsoons of 2016, the wells now report ample water. Farmers who were earlier only able to pump water into their fields for 90 minutes can now pump for almost 12 hours.

Gurgaon Ki Awaaz Samudayik Radio


Gurgaon Ki Awaaz Broadcasting 22 hours a day in Hindi and Haryanvi since November 2009 on 107.8 MHz FM, Gurgaon Ki Awaaz (GKA) is a platform for the voices of marginalized community groups in Gurgaon: local villages and migrant workers who live and work in Gurgaon. From health and livelihood to education and entitlements, the culture and concerns of this over 1.9 million population find expression on Gurgaon Ki Awaaz. The station was set up and is supported by TRF.

Relief work


Razai distribution, Gurgaon Be it providing quilts to the homeless during Delhi NCR’s brutal winter, or food to the poor in times of calamity, The Restoring Force (TRF) has consistently stepped forward to support the poorest in our society. During the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, TRF used its community radio Gurgaon Ki Awaaz to help migrant workers access ration supplies from the District Red Cross. Through its efforts nearly 2000 families were able to access rations during this time.
